29 female lacrosse athletes were split into two training classes to verify that this was the case. The first group received SRC-related training. Before each training session, they took part in eight practice trials. Participants also completed a brief questionnaire. The participants' performance in the lacrosse shooting test were compared with the performance of a control.


The SRC task was created to enhance the performance of lacrosse shooters by improving their attentional control. Essentially, participants were asked to perform a series of tasks, each of which entailed a similar level of complexity. Each participant was given a computer task to complete and was expected to repeat it. The participants took a lacrosse shooting exam at the end of the ten day training period.

Other feats of lacrosse were also tested in the study. The "Simon Task", a technique that increases the number of shots a lacrosse player can take from the opposing side of the goalie, was by far the most impressive.

Another remarkable feat was the "Lacrosse Celly", a lacrosse practice. This was not only a unique and creative exercise, but it also did away with the traditional Lacrosse practice. It was a brave experiment, inspired by some of Lacrosse's most successful players.
